She wore on her throat a high , gold collar, with, in front, a large golden loop, some two inches in width. Threaded through this loop,
was a golden chain. This chain terminated, at each end, with high, golden slave bracelets. When the girl stands her hands may fall
naturally to her sides, each in its bracelet, each bracelet attached to the same chain, which passes through the collar loop. It is a very
beautiful way of chaining a girl…. From Beasts of Gor, page 79

3. the small heavy lock on a gorean collar, may be of several varieties, but almost all are cylinder locks, either of pin or disk variety. In
the female gorean collar, there are either six pins, or six disks one for each letter of the word "kajira." Interestingly enough, the male
slave, kajirus, seldom has a locked collar, normally a band of iron is hammered about his neck, often he works in chains. Assassin of

*Note:* Collars are sometimes removed from girls on the sole decision and will of free persons, ie: sold or given away. Too, they may
be removed at other times for other purposes. A given individual may for one reason or another, not want others to know that a
given woman is his slave. Accordingly, she may wear her collar only in his lodge. (**Hidden Collar** this is indigenous to the Kaiila
tribe of the Red Savages**) Blood Brothers of Gor page 45

Gorean slavery is categorical and absolute. The slave is property, an animal. She is incapable of doing anything to alter, change or
affect her status. She is owned by the master, and owes him all. She can be bought and sold. She must serve with perfection. From

"...from the Gorean's point of view, one of the most fearful things about slavery is that one loses one's name. That name which he
has had from birth, by which he has called himself, and knows himself, that name which is so much a part of his own conception of
himself, of his own true and most intimate identity, is suddenly gone."  Outlaw of Gor, page 197
